Dynamics Within Authoritarian Structures

In an authoritarian system, perceived experts give instructions in their field. These experts have been through the current education system and earned degrees which in the current authoritarian education system makes them by default experts in their field. People follow instructions given by these degree holding experts often without question, often not through force but through thinking that accredited experts probably know and understand the optimal solution or process to follow. 

People can chose not to follow the instruction however tend to follow perceived hierarchy, even without evidence. Those who continue to refresh their education after college and continue to be up to date with new edits, improvements, and discoveries within their field are experts as long as they can apply the knowledge they’ve accumulated. Within the technate, we strive to give everyone the opportunity to learn about their interests and create a community where everyone is highly educated within the interests and passions of their choosing. 

It is a common misconception that once a person gets a degree their education is complete. However, as many degree holding people understand, it is just the beginning. Not only must one hold a degree in their field but they must also be able to apply that education to their future job within the field. This is called applied knowledge. 

Without the ability to apply the knowledge we learn as well as continue education within our fields, we no longer can claim to be experts. The current authoritarian education system is not a good measure of applied knowledge aptitude and only ensures that each student understands the materials presented at the time of education. 

The current education model does not facilitate the necessity to stay current within the field in which a degree has been granted. It is essential in a technate to differentiate experts from think tanks.

Authentication>Authoritarian

Authoritarianism contrasts with an authentication system. Using applied knowledge to get verifiable evidence of ideas and giving people the data to implement it is the responsibility of the tested experts within the technate. In this way, we create a system of intellectual checks and balances that fact checks the current memory based education hierarchy in place today and creates a fact based approach to the term expert. 

It creates an education system that seeks to educate every person based on their interests while giving each citizen the ability to prove their applied knowledge within the field. This makes expertise an applied data based grading system rather than a memorization system. 

It means that the opportunity to become an expert in the technate is open to anyone who has proven to have applicable knowledge, not exclusive only to those who hold degrees in the field. 

Degree Limitations

Scientific advancements are coming in quickly due to AI and crowd-sourced citizen computing. This creates the ability for scientists to process a massive amount of data in a short period of time. 

College educated students are only educated up to the point of graduation. Unless further education is necessary for job placement, these educated individual’s education rarely keep up with technological advancements. Often those who are forced to take classes every few years are learning refreshers instead of the latest updates within their field. This is not to say that a degree is useless however like any tool it depends on who has it and is able to utilize it efficiently. We shouldn’t assume based on outdated methods of knowledge checks and balances the ability of those within the technate. 

Universal Education 

The academic goal of the technate is to augment already innate abilities within each individual. Coupling interest and education with the ability to create and test will keep ingenuity high and open for anyone with the applied knowledge to innovate. EOS seeks inclusion and scientifically verifiable methods within each process. 

In order to implement an authentication based design that continues to evolve with new data, one must know who has applied knowledge and how to measure it.

The EOS method of augmenting abilities per each person’s strength creates a society of experts instead of an illusive hierarchy of authority. It creates a technological melting pot of fresh ingenuity and design changes that meet the rigorous demands of the scientific method as well as the three criteria while taking into account the exponential growth of current technological/scientific advancements.
